There is a place where God's resistless power responsive moves to thine insistent plea,
There is a place where the voice of God become the voice of man,
There is a place a simple trusting place,
Where God Himself descends and fights for man,
Where is that powerful place please? You mean Where? 
Oh, it is the secret place of prayer my friend

Mark.1.35 - Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. [NKJV]

Matt.14.23 - And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there. [NKJV]

For quite sometimes in the scripture Jesus has been teaching us how to become closer with God in prayer.
I have observed in our days that many Christian enjoy and value corporate prayers than Person fellowship with the Father, they enjoy moving from one prayer mountain to another, as much as bible encouraged us to pertake in corporate prayer (Hebrews10:25), God desires that we know Him and fellowship with Him personally.

What is Quite time?
Quite time is a special time set apart daily by a Child of God to commune or fellowship with Him personally, it different from family altar, devotion, school fellowship or corporate prayers with friends even your fiance or husband. Quite time involves praise in worship, studying and meditation of the word of God, prayer, highlighting specific instructions for immediate actions, planning how the day will be with the Lord.

What for?
Christian needs to communicate with the Heavenly Father  because fellowship strengthens relationship.
For speedy Spiritual growth (1Peter2:2)
God desires is to have a fellowship with man kind (Gen. 2:8-9)
We also have our Lord Jesus Christ as a God example (Mark1:35, Matt. 14:23)
God desires us to know His mind and also have access to mystery (Jeremiah 33:3)
To draw strength (1Kings19:7)

Where, when and time duration for Quite time.
Quite time should take place at a convenient venue that is devoid of distractions, where you can concentrate and communicate effectively with God. It may take place in the bed room but make sure you are not laying on the bed, a quiet garden or study room. 
Quite time can be observed very early in the morning or very late in the evening, at your own convenience but must be consistent and it noteworthy to have a specific time of the day for your quite time, any time can be set apart for one's quite time, although it is preferably better to observed in the morning (Mark1:35, Psalms 88:13). This is because there is always lesser activites and distraction in the morning, man ought to draw strength before moving out and it also good to begin the day with Jesus.

Quality quiet time can be as short as 15munites to hours depending on your schedule, desires, love and growth in the Lord.

Note that quality of your quite time determine your growth and strength in the Lord and it also very important to take time to hear from God, as we are a been blessed by what we hear from God than what we say to God and it God to keep written records of what God tells you as you meet with Him daily. Such a records is for reference in future. 
Watch out for distractions because they are communion killers.
