Practising what?
What does that even mean?
I thought we are in the presence of God or we are the presence of God ??

Ok. Let's check through the word first.

Why should there be anything like practicing the presence of God?

We know God created man to have dominion over the earth, but after Mankind fell, something happened.

Gen.3.8(AMP) - And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
Gen.3.9(AMP) - But the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, Where are you?
Gen.3.10(AMP) - He said, I heard the sound of You [walking] in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.

You will notice from here that both Adam and Eve were used to God coming in the cool of the day.. how did I know this? Because "they heard the sound of the lord God". It is not strange to them, neither is his voice. If God had not been coming around, the first thing they would try to do is to check who it was that could invade the garden and when they heard the voice they could recognise it was the Lord.

"Ehhn so? That was then now. We are in Christ now."

Well I just wanted you to see that from the beginning, it was God coming to man, maybe as we look further into this discussion, we will see more reason to shift the focus from ourselves to God.

Let's continue, SHALL WE?

Since Man fell, this ease of communication was no more available. So you will see multitude of sacrifices and people seeking the face of the Lord. And even if God wants to do things, he doesn't come like that, except for a select few.
So people then knew there is a God, but they might not really know him(the way he does things) but they knew his acts(visible manifestation of the things he does).

Ps.103.7 - He revealed his character to Moses and his deeds to the people of Israel.

So we can confidently say that, out of the whole isreal, only MOSES knew God.

"Hey, please why go through all these routes, Go straight to the point jare, let's know how to practice God's presence."

I am sorry, but it is necessary to know the thorough character of the God that we want to consistently be in his presence.
When Adam sinned and died, we also died in him, that is, we were separated from God.

Rom.5.17 - The sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over us, but all who receive God's wonderful, gracious gift of righteousness will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.
Rom.5.18 - Yes, Adam's one sin brought condemnation upon everyone, but Christ's one act of righteousness makes all people right in God's sight and gives them life.

The death of Adam spirit eventually led to his physical, bodily death, and everyone in Adam are to suffer the same fate. So the solution was for God to change our genetic make up. Our DNA coding was according to Adam but now our DNA was changed and we have life with God. Glory to God.

Eph.2.1(NLT)- Once you were dead, doomed forever because of your many sins.
Eph.2.2 - You used to live just like the rest of the world, full of sin, obeying Satan, the mighty prince of the power of the air. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God.
Eph.2.3 - All of us used to live that way, following the passions and desires of our evil nature. We were born with an evil nature, and we were under God's anger just like everyone else.
Eph.2.4 - But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so very much,
Eph.2.5 - that even while we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's special favor that you have been saved!)
Eph.2.6 - For he raised us from the dead along with Christ, and we are seated with him in the heavenly realms--all because we are one with Christ Jesus.

So God spoke to the prophets and different people, and he completed his speaking in his son.

Heb.1.1 - In many separate revelations [each of which set forth a portion of the Truth] and in different ways God spoke of old to [our] forefathers in and by the prophets,
Heb.1.2 - [But] in the last of these days He has spoken to us in [the person of a] Son, Whom He appointed Heir and lawful Owner of all things, also by and through Whom He created the worlds and the reaches of space and the ages of time [He made, produced, built, operated, and arranged them in order].
Heb.1.3 - He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God 's] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high.

Please follow me..

Glory to God. The only reason we have access to God at all now is because of what God did in Christ.
Amen.

I'll round up this part with Jesus's parable

Matt.18.11 - For the Son of man came to save [from the penalty of eternal death] that which was lost.
Matt.18.12 - What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray and gets lost, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountain and go in search of the one that is lost?
Matt.18.13 - And if it should be that he finds it, truly I say to you, he rejoices more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not get lost.
Matt.18.14 - Just so it is not the will of My Father Who is in heaven that one of these little ones should be lost and perish.

The summary of this parable is that God does not want any of us to perish and be lost.
Before we really practice his presence, all these things must be at the back of our minds,
That it is through him we have access to the father, and We were made alive in him.

We will consider the man in Christ and fellowship in the second part..
