Some of us might know this song by Selman that says" when you hold my hands, everything becomes possible.."
Sometimes the littlest things communicate the biggest messages. Let's take a second and picture a Father spreading his arms to receive his child, beckoning on that child to come into his embrace.
That's how God wants us to see Him. There are depths we won't get to until we come to God broken and sincere. It's a knowing that He expects so much from us but more often than not, things get in the way, like our weaknesses or unresolved issues we are battling with and at that point, the Father expects that we come to Him bare, naked and vulnerable.
In the place of weariness( I Kings 19:4-5), exhaustion( Matthew 26:36-46) and messiness, we can exchange His Strength for our weaknesses and relish in His Love. We really can be caught up in trying to do so much for God and almost always failing at it because we don't want to be sincere and be straight with God. We have great examples in the Bible like Elijah, Jesus and the other guys. They knew when they were overwhelmed and drew back into solitude with all sincerity.
The Father's arms are open always. Quit thinking whether you should. Just run to Him. He longs for the feeble you.
